Who Funds Us?

The Carers Social Group was started by a group of carers in 2020 without funding and ran on goodwill, collaboration and determination.

Since then we have applied for and been awarded small grants from various sources. All grant monies are spent directly on the running of the group, so that we can reach and serve as many carers as possible. Our committee manages the day to day running of the group. We do not pay ourselves salaries or an hourly rate. We do sometimes pay an administration worker for time-limited support. We rely on carers donating their very precious time in order to keep going.

Grant awarded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich Healthier Communities Fund for the delivery of the Carers Social Group Personal Training for Carers Initiative.

May 2024 to April 2025
Fund awarded by a private donor via the Charities Action Fund.

October 2023 to November 2024
Small grant given by RBG Health and Adults Services for the continuation of the CSG Choir.

April 2021 to March 2022
Community Innovation Grant awarded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
